حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ:

أَقْبَلْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ زَمَنَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ فَنَزَلْنَا بِالسُّقْيَا، فَقَالَ مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ: مَنْ يَسْقِينَا فِي أَسْقِيَتِنَا ؟ قَالَ جَابِرٌ: فَقُلْتُ: أَنَا، فَخَرَجْتُ فِي فِتْيَةٍ مَعِي حَتَّى أَتَيْنَا الْمَاءَ الَّذِي بِالْأُثَايَةِ وَبَيْنَهُمَا قَرِيبًا مِنْ ثَلَاثَةٍ وَعِشْرِينَ مِيلًا، قَالَ: فَأَتَيْنَا الْمَاءَ الَّذِي بِالْأُثَايَةِ فَسَقَيْنَا فِي حَوْضِنَا وَسَقَيْنَا فِي أَسْقِيَتِنَا حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ بَعْدَ عَتَمَةٍ إِذَا أَنَا بِرَجُلٍ يُنَازِعُهُ بَعِيرُهُ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ، فَقَالَ: أَوْرِدُوا، وَإِذَا هُوَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَوْرَدَ وَأَخَذَ بِزِمَامِ رَاحِلَتِهِ، فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَصَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ، وَجَابِرٌ فِيمَا ذَكَرَ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً

✧ We returned with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at the time of al-Hudaybiya and camped at al-Suqya. Muadh b. Jabal said: Who will draw water for us in our water-skins? Jabir said: I said: I will. I went out with a group of youths with me until we came to the water at al-Uthaya, between which there is about twenty-three miles. He said: We came to the water at al-Uthaya and drew water into our cistern and into our water-skins, until after nightfall, when there was a man whose camel was contending with him at the cistern. He said: Bring them to water. And behold, it was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He brought them to water and took hold of his she-camel's halter. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood and prayed Isha, with Jabir, as mentioned, beside him. Then after Isha he prayed thirteen rak'ahs.
