✧ A man passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and they mentioned and praised him. He said: Who will kill him? Abu Bakr said: I will. He went and found the man had marked out a spot for himself and was standing praying in it. When he saw him in that state, he returned and did not kill him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Who will kill him? Umar said: I will. He went and saw him praying standing in a marked spot, so he returned and did not kill him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Who will deal with him, or who will kill him? Ali said: I will. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: You, but I do not think you will catch up with him. He went and found that he had left.
