حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ جَارِيَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ:
جَاءَ ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي مَكْفُوفُ الْبَصَرِ شَاسِعُ الْمَنْزِلِ، فَكَلَّمَهُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ أَنْ يُرَخِّصَ لَهُ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ فِي مَنْزِلِهِ، قَالَ: أَتَسْمَعُ الْأَذَانَ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: ائْتِهَا وَلَوْ حَبْوًا

✧ Ibn Umm Maktūm came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: “O Messenger of God, I am blind and my dwelling is far away.” He spoke to him about the prayer, asking that he be allowed to pray in his home. He said: “Do you hear the call to prayer?” He said: “Yes.” He said: “Come to it, even if crawling.”
