✧ ʿUthmān b. ʿUbayd Allāh al-Ṭalḥī al-Kūfī

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ الطَّلْحِيُّ قَالَ: نَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ: نَا يَعْقُوبُ الْقُمِّيُّ، عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ جَارِيَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ:

جَاءَ ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي مَكْفُوفُ الْبَصَرِ، وَمَنْزِلِي شَاسِعٌ، وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ الْأَذَانَ، قَالَ فَإِنْ سَمِعْتَ الْأَذَانَ فَائْتِ، وَلَوْ حَبْوًا

Translation

✧ Ibn Umm Maktūm came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: “O Messenger of Allah, I am blind, my house is far, and I hear the call to prayer.” He said: “Then if you hear the call, come, even if crawling.”
