وَبِهِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ، يَقُولُ:

قَرَأَ رَجُلٌ الْكَهْفَ وَفِي الدَّارِ دَابَّةٌ فَجَعَلَتْ تَنْفِرُ فَسَلَّمَ، فَإِذَا ضَبَابَةٌ أَوْ سَحَابَةٌ قَدْ غَشِيَتْهُ، فَذَكَرَهُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: اقْرَأْ فُلَانُ، فَإِنَّهَا السَّكِينَةُ نَزَلَتْ عِنْدَ الْقُرْآنِ، أَوْ تَنَزَّلَتْ لِلْقُرْآنِ

Translation

✧ A man recited al-Kahf while in the house there was an animal, and it began to shy. He said salam, and there was a mist or a cloud that had covered him. He mentioned it to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: 'Recite, so-and-so, for it is the sakina that descended with the Qur'an, or it descended for the Qur'an.'
