حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ فَرْوَةَ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ، قَالَ:
أَتَيْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ، فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: مَا جَاءَ بِكَ ؟ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: لِتُعَلِّمَنِي كَلِمَاتٍ إِذَا أَخَذْتُ مَضْجَعِي، قَالَ: اقْرَأْ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ فَإِنَّهَا بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ
Translation

✧ I came to Madinah, and the Messenger of God ﷺ said to me: 'What has brought you?' He said: I said: 'That you teach me words [to say] when I take to my bed.' He said: 'Recite: Say, O disbelievers, for it is a declaration of freedom from polytheism.'
