حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حُرَّةَ الرَّقَاشِيِّ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، قَالَ:

كُنْتُ آخِذًا بِزِمَامِ نَاقَةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي أَوْسَطِ أَيَّامِ التَّشْرِيقِ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ، فَقَالَ فِيمَا يَقُولُ: يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، إِنَّ كُلَّ رِبًا مَوْضُوعٌ، وَإِنَّ أَوَّلَ رِبًا يُوضَعُ رِبَا الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، فَلَكُمْ رُءُوسُ أَمْوَالِكُمْ لا تَظْلِمُونَ وَلا تُظْلَمُونَ

Translation

✧ I was holding the halter of the Messenger of God's ﷺ she-camel in the middle of the days of tashriq during the Farewell Pilgrimage, and he said among what he said: O people, indeed every usury is abolished, and the first usury to be abolished is the usury of al-'Abbas b. 'Abd al-Muttalib. You have your principal amounts; you do not wrong and you are not wronged.
