حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ عِتْبَانَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، نَحْوًا مِنْهُ وَزَادَ فِيهِ:

وَأَصْحَابُهُ يَتَحَدَّثُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ، وَيَذْكُرُونَ مَا يَلْقَوْنَ مِنَ الْمُنَافِقِينَ، ثُمَّ أَسْنَدُوا عُظْمَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى مَالِكِ بْنِ دُخْشُمٍ، قَالَ: وَدُّوا أَنَّهُ دَعَا عَلَيْهِ، يَحْمِلُونَهُ عَلَيْهِ، فَقَضَى رَسُولُ اللهِ

Translation

✧ And his companions conversed among themselves and mentioned what they encountered from the hypocrites. Then they attributed the bulk of that to Malik b. Dukhshum. He said: "They wished that he would supplicate against him, urging him to do so. The Messenger of God finished."
