أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، قَالَ:
لَقِيتُ بِمَكَّةَ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ عَسْقَلَانَ يُقَالُ لَهُ: أَبُو الْحَسَنِ فَحَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ رُكَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ صَارَعَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ رُكَانَةُ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ: فَرْقٌ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ الْعَمَائِمُ عَلَى الْقَلَانِسِ
Translation

✧ I met in Makkah a man from the people of Ascalon called Abu al-Hasan. He narrated to me from Abu Ja'far b. Muhammad b. Rukanah, from his father, that he wrestled with the Prophet ﷺ. Rukanah said: I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: 'The difference between us and the polytheists is the turbans over the caps.'
