حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ قَعْنَبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ نَهَارٍ الْعَبْدِيِّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ يَذْكُرُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:

" إِنَّ اللهَ يَسْأَلُ عَنِ الْعَبْدِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يَقُولَ: مَا مَنَعَكَ إِذْ رَأَيْتَ الْمُنْكَرَ أَنْ تُنْكِرَهُ ؟ فَإِذَا اللهُ لَقَّنَ عَبْدَهُ حُجَّتَهُ قَالَ: رَبِّ وَثِقْتُ بِكَ وَفَرِقْتُ النَّاسَ

✧ Allah will question the servant on the Day of Resurrection until He says: 'What prevented you, when you saw the wrong, from denouncing it?' Then when Allah has taught the servant his argument, he says: 'My Lord, I trusted in You and feared the people.'
