حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا دَرَّاجٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:

" مَنْ تَوَاضَعَ لِلهِ دَرَجَةً رَفَعَهُ اللهُ دَرَجَةً، حَتَّى يَجْعَلَهُ فِي عِلِّيِّينَ، وَمَنْ تَكَبَّرَ عَلَى اللهِ دَرَجَةً يَضَعُهُ اللهُ دَرَجَةً حَتَّى يَجْعَلَهُ فِي أَسْفَلِ السَّافِلِينَ

Translation

✧ Whoever humbles himself before Allah by one degree, Allah raises him one degree until He places him in the highest of the high. And whoever is arrogant toward Allah by one degree, Allah lowers him one degree until He places him in the lowest of the low.
