حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بِهِ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ:

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْعَزْلِ قَالَ: أَوَتَفْعَلُونَ ذَلِكَ ؟ لَا عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ لَا تَفْعَلُوا، لَيْسَ مِنْ نَسَمَةٍ قَضَى اللهُ أَنْ تَكُونَ إِلَّا وَهِيَ كَائِنَةٌ قَالَ: وَكَانَ عُمَرُ، وَابْنُ عُمَرَ يَكْرَهَانِ الْعَزْلَ، وَكَانَ زَيْدٌ وَابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ يَعْزِلَانِ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ was asked about coitus interruptus. He said: Do you do that? You are not at fault if you do not do it. There is no soul that God has decreed will exist but that it will come to be. He said: Umar and Ibn Umar disliked coitus interruptus, while Zayd and Ibn Mas'ud practiced it.
