✧ A man killed ninety-nine people. He came asking: Is there any repentance for him? He came to a monk and asked him, and he said, “You have no repentance.” So he killed the monk. Then he began asking. Then he set out from a village to a village in which there were righteous people. He said: When he was on part of the way, death overtook him, so he pushed himself away with his chest, then he died. The angels of mercy and the angels of punishment gathered. He was closer to the righteous village by a span, so he was made from its people.
