machine translationAl-Zuhrī narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Ibn ʿUyaynah narrated it from al-Zuhrī, from ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿAbdullāh, from Abū Hurayrah, Zayd b. Khālid and Shibl. Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd al-Anṣārī, Ṣāliḥ b. Kaysān and al-Walīd b. Kathīr disagreed with him; they narrated it from al-Zuhrī, from ʿUbaydullāh, from Abū Hurayrah and Zayd b. Khālid, and did not mention Shibl. ʿAbd al-Aʿlā and Ghundar likewise narrated it from Maʿmar, from al-Zuhrī. Yazīd b. Zurayʿ narrated it from Maʿmar, from al-Zuhrī, from ʿUbaydullāh, from Zayd b. Khālid alone. ʿAbd al-Wahhāb b. ʿAṭāʾ narrated it from Mālik, from Ibn Shihāb, from ʿUbaydullāh, from Abū Hurayrah alone. Ibn Wahb and the transmitters of the Muwaṭṭaʾ narrated it from Mālik, from al-Zuhrī, from ʿUbaydullāh, from Abū Hurayrah and Zayd b. Khālid. Isḥāq b. Rāshid narrated it from al-Zuhrī, from Ḥumayd b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, from his father, from Abū Hurayrah alone. ʿUqayl b. Khālid, the nephew of al-Zuhrī, Yūnus, al-Zubaydī and al-Awzāʿī narrated it from al-Zuhrī, from ʿUbaydullāh, from Shibl b. Khulayd, from ʿAbdullāh b. Mālik al-Awsī, from the Prophet ﷺ. There is disagreement about Manṣūr b. al-Muʿtamir: Jarīr b. ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd and Abū Ḥafṣ al-Abbār narrated it from Manṣūr, from al-Zuhrī, from Zayd b. Khālid, from Abū Hurayrah. Abū Shaybah narrated it from Manṣūr, from al-Zuhrī, from Abū Hurayrah, with no one between them. ʿAmmār b. Abī Farwah narrated it from al-Zuhrī, from ʿUrwah, from ʿAmrah, from ʿĀʾishah. The correct one is the ḥadīth of ʿUbaydullāh from Abū Hurayrah and Zayd b. Khālid. The ḥadīth of ʿUbaydullāh from Shibl from ʿAbdullāh b. Mālik is not raised (marfūʿ), and likewise the ḥadīth of ʿUrwah from ʿAmrah from ʿĀʾishah.
