حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ بِمَعْنَاهُ
قَالَ عَرِّفْهَا حَوْلاً وَقَالَ ثَلاَثَ مِرَارٍ قَالَ فَلاَ أَدْرِي قَالَ لَهُ ذَلِكَ فِي سَنَةٍ أَوْ فِي ثَلاَثِ سِنِينَ
Translation

He said: Make it known for a year. He said this three times. He said: I do not know whether he said “for a year” or “for three years”.

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، بِمَعْنَاهُ قَالَ " عَرِّفْهَا حَوْلاً ". وَقَالَ ثَلاَثَ مِرَارٍ قَالَ فَلاَ أَدْرِي قَالَ لَهُ ذَلِكَ فِي سَنَةٍ أَوْ فِي ثَلاَثِ سِنِينَ
machine translationMusaddad narrated to us, Yaḥyā narrated to us, from Shuʿbah, with the same meaning. He said: "Announce it for a year." And he said it three times. He said: I do not know whether he told him that within one year or within three years.
