Parting One's Fingers Through The Beard

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو تَوْبَةَ يَعْنِي الرَّبِيعَ بْنَ نَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمَلِيحِ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ زَوْرَانَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ

كَانَ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ أَخَذَ كَفًّا مِنْ مَاءٍ فَأَدْخَلَهُ تَحْتَ حَنَكِهِ فَخَلَّلَ بِهِ لِحْيَتَهُ وَقَالَ هَكَذَا أَمَرَنِي رَبِّي ﷻ

Translation

Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution, he took a handful of water, and, putting it under his chin, made it go through his beard, saying: Thus did my Lord command me.
