- Aḥmad b. Ḥanbal
machine translationʿĀṣim al-Aḥwal makes a mistake in this hadith; he says ʿAlī b. Ṭalq, but it is only Ṭalq b. ʿAlī.
machine translationI do not know of any narration from ʿAlī b. Ṭalq from the Prophet ﷺ other than this hadith. In my view he is someone other than Ṭalq b. ʿAlī, and this hadith is not known from the narration of Ṭalq b. ʿAlī.
in سنن أبي داود, p. 1002 - M. ibn Ḥibbān al-Bustī
machine translationNo one said the wording "and let him repeat his prayer" except Jarīr b. ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd.

- Ibn al-Qaṭṭān
machine translationThis hadith is not authentic (ṣaḥīḥ), for Muslim b. Sallām al-Ḥanafī, Abū ʿAbd al-Malik, is of unknown condition (majhūl al-ḥāl).
in سنن أبي داود, p. 1002 - M. ibn Ḥibbān al-Bustī
machine translationIbn Ḥibbān declared it sound (ṣaḥīḥ), whereas no one declared the ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah sound, so this one is preferable in terms of authenticity.
in سنن أبي داود, p. 1002 - Ibn al-Qaṭṭān
machine translationMuslim b. Sallām al-Ḥanafī, Abū ʿAbd al-Malik, narrated it from ʿAlī b. Ṭalq, and he is of unknown condition (majhūl al-ḥāl). He said: so the hadith is not authentic (ṣaḥīḥ).
machine translationI do not know of any hadith from ʿAlī b. Ṭalq except this one, and ʿĪsā b. Ḥaṭṭān, who narrated this hadith from him, is an unknown man (majhūl).
machine translationI do not know of any hadith from ʿAlī b. Ṭalq except this one.
