عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ عَاصِمٌ،
أَنَّ رَهْطًا أَتَوْا عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ فَسَأَلُوهُ عَنْ صَلَاةِ الرَّجُلِ فِي بَيْتِهِ تَطَوُّعًا، وَعَمَّا يَحِلُّ لِلرَّجُلِ مِنِ امْرَأَتِهِ حَائِضًا، وَعَنِ الْغُسْلِ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ، فَقَالَ: أَمَّا صَلَاةُ الرَّجُلِ فِي بَيْتِهِ تَطَوُّعًا، فَهُوَ نُورٌ، فَنَوِّرُوا بُيُوتَكُمْ، وَمَا خَيْرُ بَيْتٍ لَيْسَ فِيهِ نُورٌ، وَأَمَّا مَا يَحِلُّ لِلرَّجُلِ مِنِ امْرَأَتِهِ حَائِضًا: فَلَكَ مَا فَوْقَ الْإِزَارِ وَلَا تَطَّلِعُونَ عَلَى مَا تَحْتَهُ حَتَّى تَطْهُرَ، وَأَمَّا الْغُسْلُ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ: فَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَكَ لِلصَّلَاةِ، ثُمَّ اغْسِلْ رَأْسَكَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ، ثُمَّ أَفِضِ الْمَاءَ عَلَى جِلْدِكَ
Translation
✧ A group came to 'Umar b. al-Khattab ؓ and asked him about a man's voluntary prayer in his house, about what is lawful for a man from his menstruating wife, and about ghusl from janabah. He said: 'As for a man's voluntary prayer in his house, it is light, so illuminate your houses. What good is a house in which there is no light? As for what is lawful for a man from his menstruating wife: you may have what is above the waist-wrapper, and do not look upon what is beneath it until she becomes pure. As for ghusl from janabah: perform your wudu' as for prayer, then wash your head three times, then pour water over your skin.'
