✧ Plunder and single combat

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ نَافِعًا، مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ:
لَمْ نَزَلْ نَسْمَعُ مُنْذُ قَطُّ إِذَا الْتَقَى الْمُسْلِمُونَ وَالْكُفَّارُ، فَقَتَلَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ، فَإِنَّ سَلَبَهُ لَهُ إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ فِي مَعْمَعَةِ الْقِتَالِ ".
Translation
✧ We kept hearing from long ago that when the Muslims and the disbelievers meet, and a Muslim man kills a man from the disbelievers, the slain man's spoils belong to him, unless it occurs in the heat of battle.
