عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ قَالَ:
لَمَّا أَسَرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أُسَارَى بَدْرٍ فَكَانَ فِيهِمْ أَبُو وَدَاعَةَ بْنُ صَبَارَةَ السَّهْمِيُّ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: إِنَّ لَهُ ابْنًا كَيِّسًا وَهُوَ بِمَكَّةَ، وَهُوَ الْمُطَّلِبُ بْنُ أَبِي وَدَاعَةَ فَكَانَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ جَاءَ بِفِدَاءِ أَبِيهِ
Translation
✧ When the Prophet ﷺ took the captives of Badr, Abu Wada'a b. Subara al-Sahmi was among them. The Prophet ﷺ said to him: 'He has a clever son in Makkah; he is al-Muttalib b. Abi Wada'a.' He was the first to come with his father's ransom.
