✧ Killing the polytheists by captivation and ransoming captives

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِأُسَارَى بَدْرٍ: لَوْ كَانَ الْمُطْعِمُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ حَيًّا فَكَلَّمَنِي فِي هَؤُلَاءِ النَّتْنَى، لَتَرَكْتُهُمْ
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ said concerning the captives of Badr: 'If al-Mut'im b. 'Adi were alive and spoke to me about these stinking ones, I would let them go.'
