Translation
✧ ʿAṭāʾ and ʿAmr disliked what grew on one's own water in the Haram from the trees of the Haram. ʿIkrima went back to ʿAṭāʾ and said: If what grows on my water in the Haram is forbidden to me, then my cotton will surely be forbidden to me, for strange plants grow in it, and greens and herbs grow in it, and then people would not be able to have their greens. He said: "What grows on your water is permitted to you, even if you did not plant it yourself."
