Translation
✧ When the Prophet ﷺ entered the mosque on the day of the conquest, he ordered regarding those idols — he said: I think he said: they were around the Kaaba — so they were tipped onto their faces. Then he ordered them and they were dragged until they were taken out of the Sacred Mosque, while he was saying: “Truth has come and falsehood has vanished; indeed falsehood is bound to vanish.” He said: Then he gave a sermon, then said: “God made Makkah sacred on the day He created the heavens and the earth. It is sacred by God’s sanctity until the Day of Resurrection. It was not lawful for anyone before me, nor for anyone after me. God made it lawful for me only for an hour of the day. Its game must not be startled, its thornbushes must not be cut, its fresh herbage must not be cut, and its lost property is not lawful except for one who announces it.” He said: Al-Abbas said: “Except for idhkhir, O Messenger of God, for it is for our houses, our goldsmiths, and our blacksmiths?” The Prophet ﷺ said: “Except for idhkhir, for it is lawful.”
