عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ،
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لِعَائِشَةَ: أَلَمْ تَرَيْ أَنَّ قَوْمَكِ اسْتَقْصَرُوا عَنْ قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ؟ قَالَتْ: أَفَلَا تَرُدُّهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ عَلَى قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ؟ قَالَ: " إِنَّ قَوْمَكِ حَدِيثُو عَهْدٍ بِكُفْرٍ أَوْ إِنَّهُمْ حَدِيثُونَ بِكُفْرٍ
Translation
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to 'A'ishah: Did you not see that your people fell short of the foundations of Ibrahim? She said: Will you not restore it, O Messenger of Allah, to the foundations of Ibrahim? He said: Your people are recent in disbelief, or they are recent in disbelief.
