✧ The Construction of the Ka'bah

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُجَاهِدًا يَقُولُ:
تَطَاوَلَ هَذَا الْمَقَامُ لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ حِينَ قَالَ اللهُ لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ: وَأَذِّنْ فِي النَّاسِ بِالْحَجِّ فِي الْحَجِّ حَتَّى كَانَ أَطْوَلَ جَبَلٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ، فَنَادَى نِدَاءً أَسْمَعَ مَا بَيْنَ الْأَبْحُرِ السَّبْعِ، فَقَالَ: يَا عِبَادَ اللهِ، أَجِيبُوا اللهَ، يَا عِبَادَ اللهِ، أَطِيعُوا اللهَ، فَقَالُوا: لَبَّاكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَجَبْنَاكَ، لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَطَعْنَاكَ قَالَ: فَمَنْ حَجَّ إِلَى أَنْ تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ فَهُوَ مِمَّنْ أَجَابَ لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ ".
Translation
✧ This Station grew tall for Abraham when God said to Abraham: 'And proclaim the pilgrimage to the people' (Qur'an 22:27), in the pilgrimage, until it became the tallest mountain on earth. Then he called out with a call that was heard between the seven seas, saying: 'O servants of God, answer God! O servants of God, obey God!' They said: 'Labbayk Allahumma ajabnak, labbayk Allahumma ata'nak.' He said: 'So whoever performs the pilgrimage until the Hour arises is among those who answered Abraham.'
