عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ ابْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ: قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ: "
وَكَانَ اللهُ اسْتَوْدَعَ الرُّكْنَ أَبَا قُبَيْسٍ فَلَمَّا أَتَى إِبْرَاهِيمُ نَادَاهُ أَبُو قُبَيْسٍ: يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ، هَذَا الرُّكْنُ فِيَّ فَخُذْهُ، فَاحْتَفَرَ عَنْهُ فَوَضَعَهُ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ مِنْ بِنَائِهِ. قَالَ: قَدْ فَعَلْنَا أَيْ رَبِّ فَأَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا، أَبْرِزْهَا لَنَا، عَلِّمْنَاهَا، فَبَعَثَ اللهُ جِبْرِيلَ فَحَجَّ بِهِ، حَتَّى أَتَى عَرَفَةَ فَقَالَ: قَدْ عَرَفْتُ وَكَانَ قَدْ أَتَاهَا مَرَّةً قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ، فَلِذَلِكَ سُمِّيَتْ عَرَفَةَ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ، عَرَضَ لَهُ الشَّيْطَانُ فَقَالَ: احْصِبْ، فَحَصَبَ بِسَبْعِ حَصَيَاتٍ، ثُمَّ الْيَوْمَ الثَّانِيَ وَالثَّالِثَ، فَسَدَّ مَا بَيْنَ الْجَبَلَيْنِ، يَعْنِي إِبْلِيسَ الْمَلْعُونَ، فَلِذَلِكَ كَانَ رَمْيُ الْجِمَارِ، قَالَ: اعْلُ عَلَى ثَبِيرٍ، فَعَلَاهُ فَنَادَى بِأَعْلَى صَوْتِهِ: يَا عِبَادَ اللهِ، أَجِيبُوا اللهَ، يَا عِبَادَ اللهِ، أَطِيعُوا اللهَ، فَسَمِعَ دَعْوَتَهُ مَا بَيْنَ الْأَبْحُرِ السَّبْعِ مِمَّنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ مِنْ إِيمَانٍ فَهُوَ الَّذِي أَعْطَاهُ اللهُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فِي الْمَنَاسِكِ: قَوْلَهُ: " لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ، اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ " فَلَمْ يَزَلْ عَلَى وَجْهِ الْأَرْضِ سَبْعَةٌ مُسْلِمُونَ فَصَاعِدًا فَلَوْلَا ذَلِكَ هَلَكَتِ الْأَرْضُ وَمَنْ عَلَيْهَا
Translation
✧ And God had entrusted the Corner to Abu Qubays. When Abraham came, Abu Qubays called out to him: 'O Abraham, this Corner is with me, take it.' So he dug it out and placed it. When Abraham finished building it, he said: 'We have done it, O Lord, so show us our rituals; make them clear to us; teach them to us.' So God sent Gabriel, and he performed the pilgrimage with him until he came to Arafah. He said: 'I have known [it],' for he had come to it once before that; therefore it was named Arafah. When it was the Day of Sacrifice, Satan appeared to him and said: 'Throw pebbles.' So he threw seven pebbles, then on the second and third days, and he blocked what was between the two mountains—meaning the accursed Iblis—which is why the stoning of the Jamarat is done. He said: 'Climb onto Thabir.' So he climbed it and called out at the top of his voice: 'O servants of God, answer God! O servants of God, obey God!' His call was heard by those between the seven seas who had in their hearts an atom's weight of faith. This is what God gave to Abraham in the rituals: his saying, 'Labbaik Allahumma labbaik, Allahumma labbaik labbaik.' There have never ceased to be on the face of the earth seven Muslims or more; were it not for that, the earth and those upon it would have perished.
