✧ Whether the Obligatory Prayer Suffices from Behind the Seven

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:
طُفْتُ مَعَ مُجَاهِدٍ سَبْعًا بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ، ثُمَّ جَلَسْنَا نَنْتَظِرُ صَلَاةَ الْمَغْرِبِ، فَصَلَّى فَقُلْتُ: أَلَا تَرْكَعُ عَلَى طَوَافِكَ ؟ قَالَ: " الْمَكْتُوبَةُ تَكْفِينَا
Translation
✧ I performed tawaf seven rounds with Mujahid after Asr. Then we sat waiting for Maghrib prayer, and he prayed. I said, 'Don't you pray two rak'ahs for your tawaf?' He said, 'The obligatory prayer suffices for us.'
