✧ The Virtue of Hajj

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ مُحَرَّرٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَطَاءَ بْنَ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ،
أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ حَجَّ وَأَكْثَرَ، أَيَجْعَلُ نَفَقَتَهُ فِي صِلَةٍ أَوْ عِتْقٍ ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: طَوَافُ سَبْعٍ لَا لَغْوَ فِيهِ يَعْدِلُ رَقَبَةً
Translation
✧ That she asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about a man who performed Hajj and did so frequently — should he spend his wealth on maintaining ties or freeing slaves? The Prophet ﷺ said, “A sevenfold circumambulation with no idle talk in it equals a slave.”
