✧ The Virtue of Hajj

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْلَةَ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَرِيزٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

مَا يَوْمٌ إِبْلِيسُ فِيهِ أَدْحَرُ، وَلَا أَدْهَقُ، وَلَا هُوَ أَغْيَظُ لَهُ مِنْ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ، مِمَّا يَرَى مِنْ نُزُولِ الرَّحْمَةِ، وَتَجَاوُزِ اللهِ تَعَالَى عَنِ الْأُمُورِ الْعِظَامِ، إِلَّا مَا رَأَى يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ ". قِيلَ: وَمَا رَأَى يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ ؟ قَالَ: " إِنَّهُ رَأَى جِبْرِيلَ يَزَعُ الْمَلَائِكَةَ

Translation

✧ There is no day on which Iblis is more driven away, more cast out, or more enraged than the Day of Arafah, because of what he sees of the descent of mercy and Allah, exalted is He, overlooking grave matters — except what he saw on the Day of Badr.” It was said, “And what did he see on the Day of Badr?” He said, “He saw Jibril marshalling the angels.”
