أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَمَّنْ سَمِعَ قَتَادَةَ يَقُولُ: حَدَّثَنَا خِلَاسُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ قَالَ:
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ: أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، إِنَّ اللهَ تَطَوَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ، فَيَغْفِرُ لَكُمْ إِلَّا التَّبِعَاتِ فِيمَا بَيْنَكُمْ، وَوَهَبَ مُسِيئَكُمْ لِمُحْسِنِكُمْ، وَأَعْطَى مُحْسِنَكُمْ مَا سَأَلَ، انْدَفِعُوا بِسْمِ اللهِ فَإِذَا كَانَ بَجَمْعٍ " قَالَ: " إِنَّ اللهَ قَدْ غَفَرَ لِصَالِحِكُمْ، وَشَفَّعَ صَالِحُكُمْ فِي طَالِحِكُمْ، تَنْزِلُ الْمَغْفِرَةُ فَتَعُمُّهُمْ، ثُمَّ تُفَرَّقُ الْمَغْفِرَةُ فِي الْأَرَضِينَ فَتَقَعُ عَلَى كُلِّ تَائِبٍ مِمَّنْ حَفِظَ لِسَانَهُ وَيَدَهُ، وَإِبْلِيسُ وَجُنُودُهُ عَلَى جِبَالِ عَرَفَاتٍ يَنْظُرُونَ مَا صَنَعَ اللهُ بِهِمْ، فَإِذَا نَزَلَتِ الْمَغْفِرَةُ دَعَا هُوَ وَجُنُودُهُ بِالْوَيْلِ وَيَقُولُ: كُنْتُ أَسْتَفِزُّهُمْ حِقَبًا مِنَ الدَّهْرِ، ثُمَّ جَاءَتِ الْمَغْفِرَةُ فَغَشِيَتْهُمْ فَيَتَفَرَّقُونَ وَهُمْ يَدْعُونَ بِالْوَيْلِ وَالثُّبُورِ
Translation
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the Day of Arafah: 'O people, Allah has bestowed His favor upon you on this day: He forgives you except for wrongs between one another, and He gives your wrongdoers to your good-doers, and He grants your good-doers what they ask. Move on in the name of Allah.' When he was at Muzdalifah, he said: 'Allah has forgiven your righteous ones, and your righteous ones have interceded for your wicked ones. Forgiveness descends and encompasses them all. Then forgiveness spreads throughout the lands and falls upon every repentant person who guarded his tongue and his hand. Iblis and his troops are on the mountains of Arafat watching what Allah does with them. When forgiveness descends, he and his troops cry out with woe and say: I used to incite them for ages, then forgiveness came and covered them. So they scatter, crying woe and destruction.'
