Translation
✧ You have come asking about your prayer, your bowing, your prostration, and your fasting, saying: What do I get for it? He said: Yes, by the One who sent you with the truth. He said: Pray at the beginning of the night and at its end, and sleep in its middle. He said: If you pray in its middle, then you are [left to your own]. He said: When you stand for prayer and bow, place your hands on your knees and spread your fingers. Then raise your head until every limb returns to its joint. When you prostrate, place your forehead firmly on the ground. He said: Fast the white nights: the thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth. Then he turned to the Ansari and said: Ask about your need, and if you wish I will tell you. He said: That is more pleasing to me. He said: You have come asking me about your departure from your home heading for the Sacred House, saying: What do I get for it? You have come asking about your standing at Arafah, saying: What do I get for it? And about your stoning the jamarat, saying: What do I get for it? He said: Yes, by the One who sent you with the truth. He said: As for your departure from your home heading for the Sacred House, for every step your mount takes, Allah writes for you a good deed and erases from you a bad deed. As for your standing at Arafah, Allah, blessed and exalted is He, descends to the lowest heaven and boasts about them to the angels, saying: These are My servants who have come disheveled and dusty from every deep valley, hoping for My mercy and fearing My punishment, though they have not seen Me. How would it be if they saw Me? If you had sins like the sand of Alij, or like the days of this world, or like the drops of rain, Allah would wash them away from you. As for your stoning the jamarat, it is stored for you. As for your shaving your head, for every hair that falls you have a good deed. And when you perform tawaf around the House, you come out of your sins as on the day your mother gave birth to you.
