أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا يُقَالُ ابْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، مِنْ وَلَدِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ يَقُولُ:
إِنَّ رَجُلَا تُوُفِّيَ بِمِنًى مِنْ آخِرِ أَيَّامِ التَّشْرِيقِ، فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، تُوُفِّيَ ابْنُ أُخْتِنَا أَفَتَقْبُرُهُ ؟ قَالَ: فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: مَا يَمْنَعُنِي أَنْ أَدْفِنَ رَجُلًا لَمْ يُذْنِبْ مُنْذُ غُفِرَ لَهُ
Translation
✧ A man died at Mina on the last of the days of tashriq. A man came and said: O Commander of the Faithful, our nephew has died; will you bury him? Umar said: What prevents me from burying a man who has not sinned since he was forgiven?
