Translation
✧ While Umar b. al-Khattab was sitting between al-Safa and al-Marwah, a caravan arrived and made their camels kneel at the gate of the mosque. They circumambulated the House while Umar watched them. Then they went out and performed sa'i between al-Safa and al-Marwah. When they finished, he said, "Bring them to me." They were brought. He said, "From where are you?" They said, "From the people of Iraq." He said — I think they said, "From the people of Kufa" — "What brought you here?" They said, "Pilgrimage." He said, "Have you come for trade, inheritance, or seeking a debt?" They said, "No." He said, "Have you worn out your mounts?" They said, "Yes." He said, "Have you become exhausted?" They said, "Yes." He said, "Have your feet become sore?" They said, "Yes." He said, "Then begin your deeds anew."
