✧ The Cat, the Locust, the Bat, and Eating Locusts

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ قَالَ:
سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنِ الْجَرَادِ ؟ فَقَالَ: جُنْدٌ مِنْ جُنُودِ اللهِ لَيْسَ جُنْدٌ أَعْظَمَ مِنْهُ لَا آكُلُهُ، وَلَا أُحَرِّمُهُ، وَكَانَ يَقُولُ: مَا لَمْ يُحَرَّمْ فَهُوَ لَنَا حَلَالٌ
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ was asked about the locust, and he said: An army of the armies of God, and there is no army greater than it. I do not eat it, nor do I forbid it. And he used to say: Whatever is not forbidden is lawful for us.
