✧ The Cat, the Locust, the Bat, and Eating Locusts

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سَالِمُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:
كَانَ عُمَرُ يَأْكُلُ الْجَرَادَ يَقُولُ: " لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ؛ لِأَنَّهُ لَا يُذْبَحُ
Translation
✧ ʿUmar used to eat locusts and say: "There is no harm in it, because it is not slaughtered."
