عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: إِنَّمَا الْمَسْحُ عَلَى الْحَلَفَيْنِ مِنَ الْخُفَّيْنِ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قُلْتُ: أَلَا أَمْسَحُ بِبُطُونِ الْخُفَّيْنِ ؟ قَالَ: لَا إِلَّا بِظُهُورِهِمَا
Translation

✧ I said to 'Ata': Is wiping only over the two upper parts of the leather socks? He said: Yes. I said: Should I not wipe the bottoms of the leather socks? He said: No, only their tops.
