✧ The Slaughter of the Vain and Its Casting, and What Cannot Be Slaughtered

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:
إِذَا رَمَيْتَ كَبْشًا، أَوْ دِيكًا بِالنَّبْلِ فَقَتَلْتَهُ، فَلَا تَأْكُلْهُ؛ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ مَيْتَةٌ، وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ مِنَ الْعَبَثِ، فَلَا تَأْكُلْهُ
Translation
✧ If you shoot an arrow at a ram or a rooster and kill it, do not eat it; it is only carrion. And anything killed in vain play, do not eat it.
