Translation
✧ I was a butcher. Ibn ʿAbbās said – and I had entered iḥrām –: “Get up and remove the ticks from this camel.” I said: “I am in iḥrām.” When we reached al-Suqyā, he said: “Get up and slaughter this she-camel.” So I slaughtered it. He said – Wahb in his ḥadīth – “May you have no mother! – and Hishām said: May the other have no mother – how many – woe to you – do you think you killed of ticks and camel-ticks?”
