عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ:

كَانَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ أَقَلَّ مَا يَصُومُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَكَانَ بَدْرِيًّا، مِنْ أَجْلِ الْغَزْوِ، فَلَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا رَأَيْتُهُ مُفْطِرًا إِلَّا يَوْمَ أَضْحَى، أَوْ يَوْمَ فِطْرٍ

Translation

✧ Abu Talhah used to fast the least during the time of the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he was a veteran of Badr, because of raiding. When the Messenger of God ﷺ died, I never saw him break the fast except on the day of sacrifice or the day of Eid al-Fitr.
