✧ Wiping over the leather socks

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ:
كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي سَفَرٍ، فَقَضَى الْحَاجَةَ، ثُمَّ جِئْتُ بِإِدَاوَةٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ وَعَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ شَامِيَّةٌ فَلَمْ يَقْدِرْ عَلَى أَنْ يُخْرِجَ يَدَهُ مِنْ كُمَّيْهَا فَأَخْرَجَ يَدَهُ مِنْ أَسْفَلِهَا، ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ
Translation
✧ I was with the Messenger of God ﷺ on a journey. He relieved himself, then I brought a vessel of water while he was wearing a Syrian jubbah. He could not bring his hand out from its sleeves, so he brought his hand out from its bottom, then performed ablution wiping over his leather socks.
