✧ Wiping Over Leather Socks and the Turban

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ،
سَأَلَ بِلَالًا كَيْفَ مَسَحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ ؟ قَالَ: تَبَرَّزَ، ثُمَّ دَعَانِي بِمِطْهَرٍ بِالْإِدَاوَةِ فَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَيَدَيْهِ، وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ، وَقَالَ: عَلَى خِمَارِهِ، لِلْعِمَامَةِ
Translation
✧ He asked Bilal how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiped over the leather socks. He said: 'He relieved himself, then called me for a purifier with the water vessel. He washed his face and hands, and wiped over his leather socks.' And he said: 'Over his head covering, meaning the turban.'
