Translation
✧ A man entered upon Bilal - or he said: Usama; the doubt is from Abd al-Razzaq - while he was performing ablution under a waterspout and wiped over his leather socks. The man said to him: 'What is this?' He said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiped over the leather socks and the head covering.' I said: 'What is the waterspout?' He said: 'The spout.'
