عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُهُ، أَوْ أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَهُ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى،
أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ " أَجَازَ شَهَادَةَ رَجُلٍ وَاحِدٍ فِي رُؤْيَةِ الْهِلَالِ فِي فِطْرٍ أَوْ أَضْحَى
Translation
✧ Umar b. al-Khattab accepted the testimony of a single man for sighting the crescent for breaking the fast or for the sacrifice (Eid al-Adha).
