عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ،
أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ! إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ الْهِلَالَ قَالَ: أَتَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللهِ ؟ "، قَالَ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: " فَأَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِلَالًا فَنَادَى فِي النَّاسِ أَنْ صُومُوا
Translation
✧ A Bedouin came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of God! I have seen the crescent." He said, "Do you testify that there is no god but God and that I am the Messenger of God?" He said, "Yes." He said, "Then the Prophet ﷺ ordered Bilal to announce to the people that they should fast."
