Translation

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned from Uhud, he heard wailing and weeping from the people of Madinah. He said, “What is this?” It was said, “The Ansar are weeping over their slain.” The Prophet ﷺ said, “But Hamzah has no weepers.” That reached the Ansar, so they gathered their women and brought them into the house of Hamzah to weep over him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard them and said, “What is this?” It was said, “When the Ansar heard you say, ‘But Hamzah has no weepers,’ they gathered their women to weep over him.” The Prophet ﷺ spoke well of the Ansar and forbade them from wailing.
