عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:

قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: يَحِقُّ عَلَى النَّاسِ أَنْ يُسَوُّوا صُفُوفَهُمْ عَلَى الْجَنَائِزِ كَمَا يُسَوُّونَهَا فِي الصَّلَاةِ ؟ قَالَ: " لَا، إِنَّمَا هُمْ قَوْمٌ يُكَبِّرُونَ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ

Translation

✧ I said to ʿAtaʾ: Are people obliged to straighten their rows for funerals as they straighten them in prayer? He said: "No, they are only people who say takbir and ask forgiveness."
