✧ Those Who Said One Does Not Perform Ablution from What Fire Has Touched

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ:
أَكَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقُ ؓ، كَتِفَ لَحْمٍ أَوْ ذِرَاعًا، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى لَنَا وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ، قَالَ عَطَاءٌ: وَحَسِبْتُ أَنَّ جَابِرًا قَالَ: وَلَمْ يُمَضْمِضْ وَلَمْ يَغْسِلْ يَدَهُ قَالَ: حَسِبْتُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: مَسَحَ يَدَهُ
Translation
✧ Abu Bakr al-Siddiq ؓ ate a shoulder of meat or a foreleg, then stood and prayed for us, and he did not perform ablution. Ata said: I think that Jabir said: And he did not rinse his mouth nor wash his hand. He said: I think he said: He wiped his hand.
