✧ Wiping Over Bandages and Wounds

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: رَجُلٌ مَكْسُورُ الْيَدِ مَعْصُوبٌ عَلَيْهَا قَالَ: يَمْسَحُ الْعِصَابَةَ وَحْدَهُ وَحَسْبُهُ قَالَ: فَلَا بُدَّ أَنْ يَمَسَّ الْعِصَابَ، إِنَّمَا عِصَابُ يَدِهِ بِمَنْزِلَةِ يَدِهِ، يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْعِصَابِ مَسْحًا، فَإِنْ أَخْطَأَ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا فَلَا بَأْسَ
Translation
✧ I said to 'Ata': "A man with a broken hand bandaged over it." He said: "He wipes over the bandage alone, and that suffices him. He said: There is no escape from touching the bandage. His hand's bandage is in the place of his hand; he wipes over the bandage with a wiping. If he misses anything of it, it is no problem."
