✧ Wiping Over Bandages and Wounds

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: قُرْحَةٌ فِي ذِرَاعِي، أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ كَانَ الْجُرْحُ فَاتِحًا فَاهُ قَالَ: فَلَا تُدْخِلْ يَدَكَ فِيهِ وَأَمْسِسِ الْمَاءَ مَا حَوْلَهُ
Translation
✧ I said to 'Ata': "An ulcer on my forearm. What do you think if the wound is open with its mouth?" He said: "Do not insert your hand into it, but let the water touch what is around it."
