✧ Washing the deceased

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ:

أَيُكْرَهُ غُسْلُهُ عُرْيَانًا ؟ قَالَ: " لِمَ يُغَسَّلُ عُرْيَانًا ؟ " قُلْتُ: فَجُعِلَ عَلَيْهِ ثَوْبٌ مِمَّنْ عَلَيْهِ، لَا يُمَسُّ الثَّوْبُ وَيُغَسَّلُ مِنْ تَحْتِهِ قَالَ: " حَسْبُهُ، وَقَدْ وُورِيَ حِينَئِذٍ

Translation

✧ Is it disliked to wash him naked? He said: "Why should he be washed naked?" I said: A cloth is placed over him from someone, the cloth is not touched, and he is washed from beneath it. He said: "That suffices him, and he is concealed at that point."
